The Italian maritime Academy is an in-house training center which assists shipping companies in the area of assessment and training for both pre-boarding and post boarding personnel with the objective of providing competent and reliable crew.

Maritime experts are almost unanimous the combined output of MARINA accredited training centers cannot accommodate the certification of merchant marine officers to the new requirements of STCW 78, as amended.
Compliant by 31 December 2016, the absolute deadline since the STCW amendments of 2010 comes into force 1 January 2017.

Nautilus which means Toughest of all was chosen by the cadets belonging to the batch to their batch name. The cadetship program was truly a remarkable quest for knowledge that has further developed the cadets possessed potential and skills. The recognition day had really signified it worth and has marked the start of cadets climb towards the top.
The attendees of the said recognition day were, Capt. Nicolo Terrie the General Manager, M.M. Rustico Pinili, D/C Instructor, C/E Mario Reyes, E/C Instructor, together with the other instructor and staff of Italian Maritime Academy Phil. Inc.

Batch 21, Conquistatore del Mare(Conqueror of the Sea) had been recognized on July 11, 2015 at the Italian Maritime Academy Phils., Inc. attended by Capt. Nicolo Terrei, the General Manager together with IMAPHIL instructors ,assessors and staff. They have been witnessed the recongnition of the Batch 21 and approved as the cadets who are qualified to set sail in the vast ocean, fully met the standard of the ship owners and charterers.
